The history of the meter manufacturing company, MOM Zrt. dates back 140 years. At one time, the state-owned company employed thousands of people and had numerous subsidiaries and premises where they manufactured different products. The plant at Mateszalka, Hungary was launched in the beginning of the 1970’s, and after the privatization, this unit became the legal successor of the „former MOM.” The history of MOM is connected to DIEHL Metering division in many fields. After the privatization in the 1990’s, the company became the property of the DIEHL family in a multi-step process. However, the recent years brought significant changes. In February 2016, the management of MOM bought out the company from its former owner. Since then, the company has been operating independently again.

Since the founding of the company, our major activity has been the manufacturing, refurbishing and re-certification of mechanic multiple jet water meters for the Hungarian and foreign markets as well.

With its high-class water meters, our company has been a market leader in Hungary for decades. We can proudly report that we have supplied 98 percent of the Hungarian remote reading systems (AMR- Automatic Measurement Reading). The 140.000 units of equipment represent a significant volume.

After becoming independent, we have stayed the exclusive distributor of DIEHL Metering products in Hungary. Our wide range of products can satisfy all kinds of measuring tasks.

Our major objective is to continue the development of our high-class traditional products to meet the expectations of modern markets. We continuously modernize our production technology system in order to make better products.
