Although little documentary material survives, the company represents an important chapter in the development of Italian hydraulic engineering and public utility technology. Its products belong to the era when cities transitioned from flat-rate water charging to consumption-based billing, a change that transformed both water conservation and municipal finance. Surviving meters bearing the company's name are significant artefacts of Italy's industrial and public-health modernization during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
