⭐Great Plains Industries is a family‑founded American engineering and manufacturing company founded in 1968 and headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, best known for its fuel transfer pumps, chemical pumps, and flow‑metering technologies.

GPI was formally incorporated in 1972, transitioning from ASC into a dedicated manufacturer of agricultural products.

The company’s first major commercial success was an early fuel‑transfer pump for farm equipment.

In 2013, GPI acquired Trimec Industries of Sydney, Australia — a manufacturer of:

- oval‑gear positive displacement meters

- insertion meters

- impeller meters

- flow instrumentation This expanded the company's product range for water measurement with LCD and or pulse water meter options. ManuFlo is also a listed distributor for GPI/Flowmec products.

This acquisition formed the FLOMEC brand which operates at Caringbah, NSW, Australia. This Museum has a GPI 100mm LCD water meter in its collection (pic above).
