- This museum intends to preserve and showcase historical items of water flowmeter measurement technology. 💧 Fresh water isn’t just essential—it’s irreplaceable. It sustains ecosystems, grows our food and keeps all land-based living things alive. Yet despite its fundamental importance, it’s astonishing how often it’s undervalued, overused, or outright wasted. Water Meters are essential tools that empower governments to fairly manage and charge for this precious resource. Without them, water could too easily be taken for granted. I hope this growing legacy collection of water meters serves as a lasting reminder of the importance of preserving a resource that is, quite literally, sacred. Across the globe, nearly one in three people lack access to safe drinking water, and groundwater reserves are being depleted faster than they can be replenished. Meanwhile, mismanagement, pollution, and climate impacts only intensify the crisis. (c) "My insight is drawn from a lifelong career in fluid measurement dating back to the 1970's when the family flow measurement business first dealt with the major Australian Water Meter manufacturers, an era when we made so much in Oz. Thus began my journey in the liquid process measurement and control industry till the present day. My goal is to amass a world class collection of historic Water Meters with information for future generations". - Alexander T Manu -
