CUSCO -Compagnie Universelle de Services et de Conduites d’Eau

🏭 CUSCO stands for Compagnie Universelle de Services et de Conduites d’Eau (Universal Company for Water Services and Pipelines). Based in Liège, Belgium — a major industrial hub for metallurgy and precision engineering. Known for producing volumetric piston meters and jet-type meters for domestic and municipal use. Active from the 1930s to 1970s, often supplying meters stamped with city names (like Bourges) and supplying water authorities across Belgium, France, and North Africa. The H.W.M.Museum has in its collection a rare surviving water meter DN15 rotary piston water meter. This water meter is a CEGEDES branded, multijet, three-quarter inch water meter manufactured in Liège, Belgium, with a date stamp of 1942. It has a capacity of 13 m³/h. This specific item is notable for its apparent manufacture date during World War II, a time when Belgium was under German occupation. No additional records have been found for this company.
