Teksan

Teksan – Water Meter Company was founded in Istanbul Turkey in 1955, as Turkey’s first domestic water meter manufacturer.

The company pioneered national water‑meter production during the 1960s, supporting Turkey’s industry during economic crises and helping establish the scientific basis for metering systems in the country.

The company operates factories in Çekmeköy (Istanbul) and Bilecik.

It has integrated manufacturing, including bronze casting, die‑casting, CNC machining, forging, molding, electrostatic painting, and accredited calibration laboratories.

Production capacity reaches 1 million meters per year. Teksan manufactures meters from DN15 to DN800, covering:

- Cold water meters

- Hot water meters

- Wet/dry type multi‑jet meters

- Volumetric meters

- Woltman (turbine) meters

- Prepaid meters

- Electronic water meters The HWM.Museum has written to the company to acquire a Turkish made water meter for its collection. TBA
